The discussions this year centered around ‘occupational safety and health & EHS as a priority for companies while reiterating the significance and business benefits of investing in the health and safety of the workforce.’ The speakers hailed from several renowned companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Crompton Greeves, Hindustan Construction Company, Tata Power, Asian Paints, and ONGC among others. An award ceremony was also organized to recognize the efforts, contributions, and success of the people working in the HSE domain.

Aligning with the theme of the event, several pertinent issues were covered over the course of two days. Behaviour-based Safety and how to achieve it, the power of innovative digital technology to improve EHS reporting and workplace safety, challenges faced by the industrial frontline workers in terms of safety, fire risk assessment, and process management safety were some of the umbrella topics touched upon followed by nuanced and detailed deliberations on further sub-topics.

As SafetyConnect is a company revolutionizing the OHS (Occupational Health and Safety)  space with technology, the discourse on digitizing safety with technology like IoT and using it to tackle safety problems in the workplace was particularly enriching. Thoughts of industry leaders on utilizing technology to reduce at-risk employees and monitor potential hazards in a working environment, resonated with SafetyConnect’s motive of leveraging technology for employee safety on road and in the workplace.
