To make the user experience more engaging, SafetyConnect has integrated support for multiple languages in its application.
Understanding the New Feature
SafetyConnect’s new multilingual support allows users to operate the app in their preferred language. Currently, the user can switch between Hindi and English with a simple click. This feature is designed to auto-translate the text within the app, mitigating any issues of language barriers.
The user can access this feature manually by going to the ‘Settings’ page and then selecting the preferred language or the app will autodetect the user's current language used in their phone and switch to it (provided the language exists in the app library).
Special attention has been given to ensure that the translations are accurate in terms of grammar and linguistic precision.
What’s the Value?
The inclusion of a multilingual function in our application stems from our dedication to improving user experience and meeting our users' different language demands. We recognize that not all users are competent in English, and by allowing them to select their preferred language, we are increasing the app's accessibility and inclusion. This feature is critical since it reduces future user abandonment. It ensures that language barriers do not prevent users from fully utilizing our application.
Furthermore, the localization of our application through multiple language options creates a comfortable and familiar environment for users. We are able to develop a stronger connection and build trust with our users by providing material in their local language. Similar to our Badges and Achievements feature, this increased level of comfort not only boosts customer satisfaction but also serves as a strong motivation for them to continue using our application on a regular basis.
We have plans to introduce more languages in the near future, expanding the linguistic diversity of our application. Among the languages we are considering are Marathi, Tamil, French, and Spanish. We understand the importance of catering to our client's needs, and thus, we encourage them to communicate their preferred local language to us. Our dedicated team will make efforts to add the requested languages to the app, provided that we have the necessary resources for accurate translation.
